ECSoC Cohort Playbook & Rules
Welcome to the official developer manual and rulebook for the Elite Coders Summer of Code (ECSoC) 2026 cohort program. This playbook details expectations, XP point valuations, weekly milestones, and code guidelines.
1. Contributor Standards
Contributors are matched with mentors based on their sandbox challenge performance. To maintain your status, you are expected to submit weekly updates, coordinate with mentors on Discord, and contribute production-grade commits.
2. XP Valuation Matrix
We operate a gamified point ledger wallet. XP points are awarded dynamically based on verified PR contributions:

3. Ambassador Outreach Rules
Campus Ambassadors are regional program evangelists. To earn rank, share your unique referral URL on social networks, Discord servers, and college developer groups. Point system matches are credited immediately on successful candidate application.
4. Code Violations & Exclusions
Plagiarism, AI-generated spam PRs without context, and violation of our code of conduct will trigger immediate account suspension, point wipeouts, and exclusion from placement matchmaking.
