Summer of Code 2026
ECSoC (Elite Coders Summer of Code) is a competitive open-source program where student developers contribute to real projects, earn rewards, and build their engineering career — all in one summer.
What is Summer of Code?
A Summer of Code program is a structured, time-bound initiative where student developers contribute to open-source software projects under the guidance of experienced mentors. Programs like Google Summer of Code (GSoC), Outreachy, and ECSoC have collectively introduced thousands of developers into the open-source ecosystem.
ECSoC Summer of Code runs annually and is open to all developers — from complete beginners making their first pull request to intermediate developers looking to build production-grade features. You choose your track, pick a project, and start contributing.
Unlike other programs with months-long application processes, ECSoC is fast, merit-based, and rewards consistent output. Top contributors win cash prizes, exclusive developer swag, and verified certificates.
